Meet Taneise

Christian educator, skilled communicator and advocate for wisdom, discernment and truth.

You are probably here because something happened that you could not quite explain. Maybe you encountered someone whose words and actions never seemed to match. Maybe you watched manipulation hide behind charm, influence or even Scripture. Or maybe you were left questioning your own judgment while everyone around you seemed convinced by a very different version of the story.

I understand.

I was raised in the church and learned early how important it was to be loving, forgiving and harmless. What I did not learn was how to recognize manipulation, respond wisely to deception or protect myself when harmful behavior appeared in a spiritual setting.

In other words, I learned how to be harmless as a dove. I had much more to learn about being shrewd as a snake.

My understanding of narcissism did not begin in a classroom. It began through lived experience, difficult relationships and the painful realization that faith does not make us immune to manipulation. In some cases, our desire to forgive, believe the best and preserve unity can be used against us.

Once I began learning about narcissistic behavior, coercive control, smear campaigns and toxic leadership, experiences that once seemed confusing started to make sense. That knowledge did not erase the pain, but it gave me language, clarity and a path forward.

Today, I bring together my Christian faith, nearly two decades of strategic communications experience and graduate studies in psychology to help others recognize harmful patterns without carelessly diagnosing or labeling people. My goal is not to teach suspicion. It is to help believers develop discernment, ask better questions and understand that wisdom and compassion belong together.

Knowing what to look for changes what you’re willing to overlook.

Taneise About 2_edited.jpg

Through my podcast, YouTube channel and Bible-based teaching resources, we will talk honestly about narcissism, manipulation and toxic leadership, especially within faith communities. We will examine what Scripture teaches about deception, accountability, boundaries and discernment, including the passages that are sometimes misused to silence people who have been harmed.

You do not have to ignore what you see in order to be loving. You do not have to abandon wisdom in order to demonstrate grace. And you do not have to remain confused simply because the person causing harm knows how to speak the language of faith.

We learned to be harmless.

Now, let’s learn to be shrewd.

Love,

Taneise
